Life Science offers students a practical approach to the study of living things by thinking critically about the classification and common characteristics of life. These are first examined, followed by a more detailed investigation of each kingdom. The course emphasizes a hands-on approach, which allows the students to discover firsthand the mystery and magic of the world around them. Laboratory activities utilizing microscopes and other basic lab equipment are regularly scheduled. The course is divided into three sections; cell biology, ecology and diversity of life.
